ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to conjure the hard, complex, deep thoughts-- and yet here on the internets- it's hard to conjure the "getting happy" areas. Oh please tell me it isn't 'typical'. Please tell me it's out there so I can focus on that for a bit!

You are a goddess! One of my biggest deterrents to exploring the possibility of adoption more seriously is simply feeling overwhelmed by where to start with research (and simply visiting a couple agencies didn't really illuminate much, oddly).
ReplyDeleteI think there's some really great reading for me as an adoptee, too. Been considering (very lazily) an eventual birth-family search, or just getting more 'in the know' about the community of adoptees/adoptee issues out in the world that I can learn from.
Anyway, thank you! I love the light-on-the-head photo, by the way. My son has just discovered flashlights and if I dim the lights and let him go to town with one, he can easily occupy a good half hour or so.
Love it, mostly because it took me all arrows for me to actually do what you asked of me. ;)

ReplyDeleteOk the list is great, but what I loved about this post most, aside from the neurosis you encited when I couldn't determine what I was missing, is the fact that blue is wearing a pink bib, pink a blue one, and that pink is emptying blue's bowl into her own. Love love love that!!
